Gulf Copper & Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Foreman for our Gulf Copper Energy Services division, who is open to traveling within states and occasionally internationally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.  

  1. Confer with Project Management personnel, and contractors to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction, repair or maintenance problems. 

  1. Direct and supervise workers.  Determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to project sites or assignments. 

  1. Evaluate project execution methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans. 

  1. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety & environmental procedures. 

  1. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at site, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out. 

  1. Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, ships or systems. 

  1. Review and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. 

  1. Requisition supplies or materials to complete projects. 

  1. Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines. 

  1. Study job specifications to determine appropriate job methods. 

  1. Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at project site. 

  1. Build customer Relations 

Required Education & Experience: 

  1. High School Diploma, One year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  1. Industrial and/or marine journeyman experience, along with a minimum of 10 years   supervisory experience preferred. 

Working Conditions: 

  1. Open-air conditions such as noisy, hot, cold, as well as in an office controlled environment. 

  1. Must wear hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE. 

  1. Some climbing (100 feet) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved. 

  1. Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights while wearing fall prevention equipment.  

  1. Working with hot and sometimes hazardous materials. 

  1. Aboard ships, both on and offshore as well as confined spaces. 

  1. The work may require standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles, bending over, crouching and climbing up and over obstructions such as scaffolding, ladders, and internal barge and boat structural members.

  1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand codes/specifications, sketches, and technical manuals.
