Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledgeable in one or more craft trades such as welding, pipe/plate/structural fitting, rigging, electrical, mechanical, machining, painting, scaffolding etc.
Supervise, coordinate, or assist the activities of workers based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.
Train and help workers in repair or construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.
Analyze worker or production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.
Confer with General Foreman or Superintendent, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.
Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs.
Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and yard sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.
Arrange for repairs of equipment or machinery.
Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
Responsible for assigned crew time sheets and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
Must be able to read/interpret blueprints, ISO drawings and layouts. (In craft fields of fitter, welder, machinist, paint and electrical)
Examine tasks to determine priorities.
Provide list of materials and services needed for each task.
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma and/or one year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
Industrial and/or marine journeyman experience, along with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
Open-air conditions such as noisy, hot, cold, etc.
Must wear hearing, eye, head protection and proper PPE.
Some climbing (100 feet) and lifting (50 lbs.) involved.
Traverse gangways and scaffolding at varying heights while wearing fall prevention equipment.
Working with hot and sometimes hazardous materials.
Aboard ships, both on and offshore as well as confined spaces.
Necessary Equipment Operation:
Office equipment, including telephone, scanner, computer, printer.

Ability to work under deadlines and schedule pressures.
Strong Organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical manuals.
Perform basic mathematical functions.
