Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.  

  1. Responsible for supporting the safe execution of block steel and hot outfitting work in accordance with the company's overall safety goals, objectives and policies. 

  1. Develop and maintain detailed shop floor work packages and production schedules for block steel and hot outfitting activities. 

  1. Organize and perform  

  1. Sequence daily and weekly production work assignments in coordination with the BHOTF Manager and production supervisors. 

  1. Track production progress against schedule and flag variances to the BHOTF Manager. 

  1. Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower availability against the shop floor plan. 

  1. Support customer-furnished material (CFM) tracking, staging, and expediting for block steel and hot outfitting production needs. 

  1. Identify and communicate schedule risks, resource conflicts, and production constraints. 

  1. Maintain accurate shop floor planning records and production status reporting. 

  1. Coordinate with the COTF Shop Floor Planner on shared resources and sequencing where applicable. 

  1. Ensure compliance with Gulf Copper Mission Statement and Quality Management System. 

Required Education & Experience: 

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in planning, industrial technology, or related field preferred. 

  1. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in shipyard or industrial production planning/scheduling. 

  1. Familiarity with shipyard steel fabrication and outfitting sequencing preferred. 

Working Conditions: 

  1. Regular work time indoors in an environmentally controlled office setting, combined with regular time on the production floor exposed to shipyard conditions including noise and heavy equipment operation. 

Necessary Equipment Operation: 

  1. Computer systems and standard office/scheduling software. 

  1. Shipyard production management and planning systems. 

  1. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required when on the production floor.
